There are 2 things that make successful working Comics. One is their skills standing in a laugh-filled room in front of hundreds of people. The other involves their skills in sitting in a quiet room in front of a blank sheet of paper all by themselves.
Ross Bennett has been a working Comic for the better part of 40 years. The key word is “working”. His career has woven its way through all the places a Comic could make a living: Comedy Clubs, Colleges, Corporate Events, Country Clubs, Cruise Ships. Churches, Synagogues and Private Parties. Ross has lived and worked in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco and Chicago (where he spent 2 years studying at Second City). Internationally, Ross has worked throughout the English speaking world including over a dozen tours of the UK and Ireland. His CD, NEW YORK COUNTRY, continues to be played on Sirius/XM radio. Ross has made many TV appearances including THE LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN in 2013. When asked why he has lasted so long in the tough competitive world of Stand-Up Comedy, Ross' answer is “My Material”. As a teacher, Ross pushes his students to write and create strong personal material with smart jokes that can stand the test of time.
