This one-of-a-kind class will allow comics to meet, connect, and be seen by industry professionals and pro-comics who can advance your career. The first two classes will be Calise reviewing and tightening your set, last four will be showcase classes in front of an agent, a casting director, comedians who write for shows, are actor/comedians, and hosts.

Industry professionals include: Stacy Seidel Tea of Broadcasters Casting and Liz Lewis of Liz Lewis Casting Partners, James Mattern, and Vannessa Jackson.

You will receive invaluable feedback from all the above on your sets. Please note, this is not a beginner class. You must receive permission from MCS staff to register.

Stacy Seidel

Stacy Seidel Tea has been casting for Radio, VO, and On-camera for over 25 years and has cast many award-winning commercials. Stacy co-founded Broadcasters in 2005 with Lisa Fischoff. Since then, Broadcasters has grown to be the premier casting company for voice-overs in New York City. Many of the top VO talent in the country will attest to her ability to bring out their best work. 

Vannessa Jackson

Vannessa Jackson is a standup comedian & TV writer. Her debut special "American Girl" is available to stream on Amazon Prime. She wrote for seasons 47-49 of SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE, Season 4 of HBO's  A Black Lady Sketch Show,  and Season 2 of NBC's A Little Late with Lilly Singh. Prior to that, she was a writing apprentice for Season 4 of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. 


Liz Lewis

Liz Lewis, CEO of LLCP in New York and Los Angeles, has been at the forefront of the casting industry for more than two decades. She cast the original voices of the Emmy Nominated Nickelodeon show, Peter Rabbit, received a 2009 CSA Artios Award nomination for Outstanding Achievement in Casting for Stormy Weather, cast the voices for the Oscar Nominated documentary Sound and the Fury, and the NY Film Festival animated short, Knitwits. Additionally, she assembled the original and subsequent line-ups for The Daily Show. 

James Mattern

James has been on Kevin Hart’s “Comedy on Color” and was a regular on “Garbage Time with Katie Nolan” and MSG Networks “The Bracket” and “People Talking Sports.” Mattern has also done warmup on “The View” NBC’s “Funny People” “The Break with Michelle Wolf” and a bunch of other shows and specials.
